Naming things is hard. Here’s how we do it.
Our naming process in five steps, from a wall of words to the one that survives trademark checks.

Quantity first
We start with hundreds of names, most of them terrible. That’s the point: good names hide behind bad ones.
Then we get picky
Pronounceable, ownable, available, and a little bit strange. Every name on the shortlist has to pass all four.
The last mile
We test the final three in context — on a business card, in a sentence, shouted across a room — before anyone falls in love.
